Skip Hop Learn

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

A few things parents often ask. Don't see yours? We're happy to talk it through.

Who is this program for?

Rising Kindergarten through 4th-grade students. It's a perfect fit for high-energy children, active learners, and kids who learn best by doing rather than just listening.

What makes Skip Hop Learn unique?

We use a whole-body learning approach that bridges the gap between active play and academics. Instead of sitting at a desk with worksheets, lessons are blended with physical movement — math relay races, phonics hopscotch, punctuation yoga. And it's designed by a professional Health and Physical Education teacher with over 20 years of primary-education experience, who understands how movement activates the brain, sharpens focus, and increases memory retention.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place at the Falmouth branches, Bourne and Mashpee Public Libraries — outside on the library green when the weather cooperates, or inside the library when it doesn't. Families come from Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne, Sandwich, and across the Upper Cape.

Is this screen-free?

Yes. Sessions are intentionally hands-on and screen-free, using real materials, movement, and play rather than apps or tablets.

How often should my child meet with a tutor?

It depends on their needs and goals. Many families start with a single Jumpstart session, then move to the Weekly Boost for steady momentum. The right rhythm gets worked out during your intro consultation.

How much does it cost?

The Single Jumpstart — one 60-minute targeted session — is $59.00. The Weekly Boost — four 60-minute sessions plus weekly progress text updates — is $249.00. Personalized plans are also available, with pricing shared during a consultation.

How do we get started?

Book a 20-minute intro consultation to talk about your child, ask your questions, and map out a plan that fits.
